As previously stated cacti are succulents but not always vice versa. Some plants I've collected are cacti but I've a few non-cacti succulents. I'm aware that my knowledge of tropical fish is stronger than succulents but anything written about the plants is, as far as I'm aware, correct.
Why do I like cacti? Like perhaps many others, I saw them on films & then in garden centres & due to their spines together with shape, my level of interest increased. As earlier said, I think the flowers on some of them are better than other plants but that is not knocking the others.
Like tropical fish, I've listed them in the contents as their family groups (genus). Unlike the fish, the names are scientific names with a common name being shown if I know it.
I'm starting to add the cacti to the site but please note, this started on 29th March '03 so it will take a while to get them all up.

As you'll see below generic names for cacti & the succulents that aren't cacti. By clicking on them you'll see a brief overview of the genus together with a picture of plants with a brief comments.
