Pilosocereus

The name Pilosocereus is translated to hairy cereus, which is shown as they develop hair from the areoles near their apex.

These come from Mexico to Brazil & are columnar growing to 15' with the stems branching. They do grow from seeds & are often found in garden shops.

Sadly all I can write at the moment is this catus comes from this genus but I've no idea about its species. As soon as I do, I'll re-write this part.

Pilosocereus (unknown)
