Rebutia

In 1895, P Rebut was a cacti dealer & the generic name Rebutia is to honour him.

The flowers are fantastic! A funnel-shape comes from near the soil & the flowers can be a variety of different colours from white, yellow to purple.

They're easily grown from seeds & become globular. The majority of them do cluster.

The Rebutia mentosa are from Bolivia & due to the altitude they can handle a brief temperature of –7 degrees Centigrade.

If you can see the picture you can see their flowers are pink.

The Rebutia muscula are from Bolivia & due to the altitude they can handle a brief temperature of –7 degrees Centigrade. That sounds pretty close to the one said earlier, well it should do as their habitat is equally pretty close.

The petals seem red but are classed as light orange.
