'Admiral' Gunboat Competition I
Players' Ratings
The tables below show the names' of the players & how they did in the competition which leave you able to see who became:
Admiral of the European Fleets
You'll also see pictures of those who played in the final game. Pictures don't just end with those in the final but also people who did help make this competition successful.
Prior to that, if you've turned to this page & don't know about the competition but would like to, please click on here as it will show the rules for 'Admiral' however those have been slightly amended in comparison to I.
What I have also done is used their Gunboat Openings which show, in one table, the countries S01 orders together with non-'Admiral' Gunboat games. The reason for not separating them is simply that the moves wouldn't be any different to the others. Gunboat Endings do have separate tables as those used in this competition have a tactical ending compared to non-'Admiral' Gunboat games. If you're wondering why was that the case? The competition started with 84 players & to reduce the number for the final there were quarter & semi-finals. If you want to know how it was done it's explained in the link shown in the second paragraph.
Moving onto the placement of players & in which game, my son, Graeme, did the draw for all rounds & therefore was random. Needless to say we laughed at some of the outcomes, which I'm sure you'll see.
I've used different colours based on the separate games. You'll see the players' ratings, which will show whether they won, drawn, survived, eliminated or sadly, went into anarchy. As for anarchy, I'm afraid that there were three players who, due to health, couldn't submit orders. As all know, health is far more important than this competition plus all other games, etc. With regard to the others, a few did apologise & they, together with the other three, will be invited into 'Admiral' Gunboat Competition II. No comment about the others expect *Anarchy* means no invite to future 'Admiral'.
If you want to jump to the other rounds rather than reading the Quarters click on Semi-Finals or Final.

The bloke who was 2nd in Valiant, NMRd the S01 in the semi called Hermes. Andy, the GM for the game, & I wrote to him saying hurry up, etc. The player wrote to Andy saying he'll get his orders two days before the deadline but Andy didn't get them! To fill his position we went back to the players in 3rd position & therefore replaced him.

Big thanks go to all players who took up the challenge & competed until their Gunboat sank!
There is one thing that must be mentioned. Andy Scott decided not to play in the competition but GM instead. To thank him for all his help, which included him supplying the names' of the games, Andy was given this title:
Andy Scott, Rear Admiral of the 'Admiral' Gunboat Competition
