May/June Update
To people who haven't received earlier e-mails, which are 'Admiral' III monthly updates, it's simply to keep you in the loop & when the Waiting List for 'Admiral' IV, you're welcome.
Some have asked about why no May Monthly Update & the answer was that in that month Sally & I went on holiday for a week in North Yorkshire Moors. As I did delay the game I didn't think there was must need to update you about those limited seasons.
As for the North Yorkshire Moors, one week wasn't long enough as that area has many things & in years to come, we'll go back up there. Only down side was two things with one being that two days before the holiday I managed to tear my Medial Collateral Ligament (MLC) in my left knee & the pain wasn't too pleasant plus equally it limited things we could do. As for work, I'm still off as I do deliver some heavy objects & carry them up steps. Fingers crossed that all will soon be fixed.
I mentioned two things weren't good on holiday, well the other was temperature at night. We stayed in a caravan, which was beside the coast of the North Sea & one night the temperature was 3 degrees Centigrade (about 38 Fahrenheit). No heating in the bedroom says it all! Still, by day the temperature did mean shorts.
Since being off work I spent a lot of time improving the way that games will be shown on site, ALB & GSB, plus of course watching Euro 2008; great matches even though Scotland weren't there.
As for the improvement of ALB & GSB, it's not done yet however a game is being run with the intent of seeing if I'm going in the right direction. The game is a variant, which is a Crowded Gunboat. To those unaware of that variant, it has eleven players & hence more countries. Below you'll see a link to the Games Page & in that page you can jump to the game, called Cardinal Tetra, or click to read more about the variant. BTW there is another variant I'm about to run but currently only have one player waiting. I've never played in this variant however I read about it & it did sound good. It's Double Gunboat Diplomacy so have a read & if you're up for it, let me know.
As for 'Admiral' III Final, Good Hope, it's a tough one so here's the current stats but prior to that, to those unaware, below you'll see the name of the game, the season that has been adjudicate & in brackets, the back-up GM. Below that, the countries followed by the number of SCs they owned in previous Autumn season.

Believe me, the stats above can be like many stats, they give you the wrong impression. I've no idea whose currently out on top.
