'Admiral' Gunboat Competition III

March Update

Subject

To those unsure, the word Subject is shown in e-mails & is just below the To, Cc & Bcc.

When you're submitting your orders, etc, please make sure you have written at least the following:
< Your game's name > - < Your country > - < Next Season >
To use an example, suppose I was playing Austria in Bersagliere & I've just received Spring 1910 adjudication. When writing my orders for the next season, the Subject should show at least: Bersagliere - Austria - A10.

The reason why we (GMs) need these details is that it not only saves our time but equally means that the orders, etc, you sent are intended for that season.

Rules & Competition Gamestart

I've been asked a number of questions & even though I don't mind answering them, some of the questions have the answers shown in either the Rules or Competition Gamestart. The link below takes you to a page that itself has links to these pages:

Holidays

I mentioned above about a link to the Rules, etc, but I thought I ought to copy/paste a rule that might be needed by you. This is Rule 5:

Deadline Delays - Each player is allowed up to a one-week delay per round. In other words, suppose you're going on holiday, you can use the delay to call the next deadline two weeks away but only once in each round of the competition. The delay must be requested together with your orders for the season before the turn you want to delay. The GM may extend deadlines in what he considers appropriate circumstances.

Games

In case you've forgotten, the games are shown & beside them, the GM, then in bracket the back-up GM & followed by the last season that was adjudicated. Below that line, the countries & the SCs they had in the last Autumn season. Sadly, you'll see Anarchy being shown. I'm sure you know that if a player doesn't submit orders for two seasons, back to back, their country goes into Anarchy. As far as the players, unless they have provided a good reason for going into Anarchy...well, no comment, as I'm sure we all know that the player is letting down the fellow players.

Partly changing subject, we don't replace players so if a country is in Anarchy, their units will just Stand & when that countries SCs reduce, necessary units will be removed.

End Game Statements (EGS)

To many others & me an EGS is an important thing to write. It might simply be a few lines or a brief outline of the game, your opponents, 'Admiral', etc. A fellow Diplomacy friend wrote an article about EGS so have a read of it. The following link will take you to the intro of various Articles & within that page; you'll see a link to the EGS page:

Enjoy Easter!
