This variant has 34 players & at the start of the game, each player owns a single SC. Due to the nature of Europe, it was decided to simply ignore whether you've got a fleet or army & just class them as units. Paris can get to London without any need for being convoyed.
As there are a good number of players, deadline are often longer than one-week. The game I played in it was 2-weeks.
I've played this variant once & was Liverpool in a game called Tom's Diner & was GMd by JW Omlo (amongst others he has GMd 'Admiral').
In S01, I moved to Wales but the Edinburgh player (Cameron Smith - never met him since) went against our discussions & invaded. Was able to received help from the Norway player (Andy Longford - who I have met since) & shifted into London (player was Ricardo Moreas who has GMd 'Admiral'). I was well & truly stabbed by Brest (Eelco van Duijnhoven who I have met since) but held on for a few moves & then drownded in English Channel.
It ended in A11 as a three-way draw between Berlin (Jeff Simard), Brest (Eelco) & Portugal (Walt de Oude).
It was a good game & as you can see I've met up with quite a few of them, which is good. Heck of an effort went into that from JW.
