Dublin Marathon Training Programme
I've read a few marathon training programmes & it became evident that there is no hard & fast rule about which day you jog & how many miles you run. The one thing that they all agree on is the 26.2 miles (42.1Km to those who understand kilometres as opposed to miles) which is run on the marathon day.

Thankfully having read the various programmes & spoken to experienced runners, I've created my own ‘Dublin Marathon Training Programme’.
Within it you'll see asterisks with a number beside them. By looking below the table you'll be able to see what it meant.

*1 = It was a trail run which means the surface will be roads & cross country.
*2 = On Wednesday Sudbury Joggers members usually run anywhere between 4 - 5 miles.
*3 = Due to a variety of reason, e.g. knee problem, other arrangements, etc, what is shown above changed. The Running Diary explains it.Below you'll see a link to my ‘Running Diary’ & details about the jogs that are mentioned above.
