Postcards - 9th May 2009 - Ipswich

On the 9th May 2009 a group of us who live not too far from Ipswich decided to met up to discuss postcards, etc.

To quickly outline what happened, we all brought along postcards that were swappable & all of us did exchange postcards. David & Margaret came along with postcards that were to be send to other people who were not at the meeting however prior to sending them each of us wrote a few words on the back of the postcard. As a random draw without the others seeing them, each of us put postcards in an envelope. Later we each pulled out postcards for themselves & as expected a couple were pulled out by the same person who first put them in the envelope, me being one. After a giggle they were swapped.

The pix below were taken by me & those in pix were, from left to right, Audley, David & Margaret.

This was taken by David & I'm sure you'll guess who took his place in the pix.

It was very enjoyable meeting & to such an extent that we've decided to met again in either Sept or Oct this year & the venue to be somewhere in or around Colchester. Further details will be mentioned on Postcrossing Forum & the hope is that more will come along.

If you've got some postcards & no longer want them, please e-mail me. If however you've got postcards & would like to swap them with other postcards, then again, please e-mail me. E-mail address is below.

Postcard Pages shows the history of postcards to modern day. It also gives details of how to date a postcard to beginners guide.

This is what this Postcrossing says on it's home page; "send a postcard and receive one back from a random person somewhere in the world!".

NB If you do e-mail, notice I've changed @ to AT to stop possible e-mail spammers so before you send, swap it back.
